MUSIC: Metrowest Symphony Orchestra Favorites & Young Artist Concert

Under the helm of conductor Dr. Peter Cokkinias, Metrowest Symphony presents a concert featuring orchestral favorites and its Young Artist competition winner. Selections include Strauss’s “Der Rosenkavalier Waltzes,” Wagner’s “Flying Dutchman Overture” and various folk dances and songs by Vaughan Williams, Bennett and Coates. Young Artist co-winner, Sharon Kim, will perform Saint-Saens “Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso” for violin and orchestra. Admission: $15 Adults; $10 Students/Seniors; Children under 12 are free. WORKSHOP: Mothers, Motherhood and Mothering: Writing from Places of the Deep

SPECIAL EVENT: 9th Annual Sharon Timlin 5K Race for ALS

The Sharon Timlin Memorial Event will be held rain or shine. Honored guest is Retired Boston Red Sox pitcher Mike Timlin.
